I’m having problems with the Canadian Refugee Protection Portal. What do I do?
If you need help or are having technical problems with the Canadian Refugee Protection Portal, contact us through our web form. It may take more than 10 business days for us to respond to you.
If you’re having technical issues
When completing the web form,
- select “No” when asked if you’ve submitted an application for permanent residence, student, visitor or worker
- under Type of application, select “Technical difficulties”
- describe the problem you’re having under Your enquiry
If you need help with the claim application
When completing the web form,
- select “No” when asked if you’ve submitted an application for permanent residence, student, visitor or worker
- under Type of application, select “In-Canada permanent residence”, then “In-Canada permanent residence – Protected persons”
- describe the problem you’re having under Your enquiry
- enter either your reference number or your application number (if you have one) under Application number. If you don’t have either of these numbers, leave the field blank.
- Your portal dashboard will show your reference number when you first submit your claim. Once we add your claim details to our system, your dashboard will show your application number.
