Thank you for supporting the Government of Canada’s efforts to promote Francophone immigration outside Quebec. These efforts are aimed at fostering demographic growth and economic prosperity in Francophone minority communities.
This toolkit brings together a range of communication products to help you promote Francophone immigration to your target audiences. Francophone mobility – Key messages

Pre-departure services
Did you know that there are services in French to help you prepare to leave for Canada?
A one-stop service provides easy access to pre-arrival services in French. Francophone newcomers are referred to regional Francophone partners according to their needs and settlement location in Canada (outside Quebec).

Settlement services
Francophone newcomers settling outside Quebec can receive the support of settlement professionals to help them:
- find a job;
- have their language skills assessed;
- enroll in language courses;
- find a home;
- enroll their children in school; and
- find out about community services.

Welcoming Francophone Communities (WFC) initiative
The Welcoming Francophone Communities initiative enables 14 Canadian communities to build living environments that are conducive to the economic and socio-cultural integration of French-speaking newcomers. These communities go above and beyond to provide French-language services to newcomers and help them settle so they can build their new lives in Canada.

Express Entry
Canada wants to attract more French-speaking immigrants to outside Quebec, thereby helping to ensure the vitality, economic development and prosperity of Canada’s Francophone minority communities. Canada is looking for skilled bilingual workers (who speak French and English) to help grow the economy and enrich the country’s culture. Discover how to come to Canada using Express Entry: Choose Canada – Canada.ca.
Francophone Mobility
Through the Francophone Mobility program, employers can hire eligible temporary workers through a streamlined hiring process.
Corridor for Francophone and French-speaking teachers
The corridor will consist of a series of interconnected and targeted initiatives. These initiatives aim to increase the number of Francophone and French-speaking primary and secondary school teachers recruited abroad. The corridor for teachers is currently under development. Details will be communicated as they become available.
